Indian Arrows

Indian Arrow are a club similar to what Young Lions are in Singapore. They were established under the name Pailan Arrows in 2010 at the request of India’s coach Bob Houghton. He was dissatisfied because most of the members of the U19 and U23 national teams were sitting on the benches of Indian clubs. Therefore, he demanded that a solution be found for this problem and that they be given the opportunity to play. The plan was for the club to join the second Indian league, but after the dissolution of Mahindra United, they were immediately promoted to the I-League, the highest rank of football in India.

This project was shut down in 2013, but was restarted four years later. That year, India hosted the U17 World Cup, and the goal was to find senior minutes for players who represented India at that championship.

Since then, they have been permanent members of the first Indian league, and their final placement is mostly in the lower part of the table.
